A Stunning Marquee Wedding Venue in Shropshire
The wedding lawn at The Citadel is available for a small number of bespoke wedding receptions each year, partly in order to retain the private feel of this much-loved family home but also to allow each wedding reception to feel special and exclusive.
Each wedding reception held in this lovely place feels truly unique because other than the marquee, you are able to source all your own suppliers, including a caterer, bar, photographer, florist, marquee decoration and entertainment. Don't worry, we will of course help you if needed!

The marquee stands on a dedicated weddings lawn to the west of The Citadel and boasts panoramic views of one of the few Grade 1 landscapes in the country. Guest are encouraged to enjoy wandering through the mature three-acre garden with its various lawns, summer house with views to the Welsh hills and beautiful central acer glade all of which offer fantastic photographic opportunities for the bridal party and their guests.
Our amazing Wedding!! For location alone, you'd have to go long way to beat The Citadel in terms of stunning location, surrounding area and gorgeous gardens. However, even without this, you will not find a better wedding venue in terms of value and flexibility. Our wedding in June 2018 was everything we could have wanted and more. Alex is the perfect host and will go over and above, she genuinely loves weddings. I would highly recommend The Citadel for a wedding ........ can we do it again?!
